What does a great Professional Services Sourcing Manager do?
This role will lead complex, enterprise-wide strategic sourcing initiatives and contract negotiations for the procurement of goods and services in the enterprise various categories.
This role will be accountable for up to $100M in annual spend and is expected to have regular interactions with C-level executives. This individual will be expected to lead teams of key cross-functional stakeholders through structured strategic sourcing processes to develop superior commercial relationships with a wide range of professional services suppliers. They will collaborate with colleagues across the enterprise on business, legal, financial, technical, performance and security requirements. This role will leverage the purchasing power of the enterprise to drive measurable improvements and increase Fiserv’s competitive advantage.
As a Sourcing Manager you can look forward to:
Coordinating and prioritizing procurement requirements
Execute the creation of purchase orders, verifying the best vendor, costs, delivery instructions, stocking levels prior to PO approval and placement
Execute placement of POs and perform all of the standard aspects of Procurement, including active management of the procurement process from the order placement through receipt of products and subsequent payment of invoices
Enthusiastically manage each purchase by ensuring confirmation of purchase price and delivery date on all purchase orders sent to suppliers. Ensure updates to status in the tracking system reflect order confirmation received from supplier and tracking details when available
Confirm that all tasks associated with procurement and delivery are complete Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes. Work cooperatively and jointly with all department staff in support of department functions and to provide quality, seamless stakeholder support
Keep department management informed of activities and provide reports to department management as requested.
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Finance, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience required
CPM or CPSM Certifications
Business related experience in a Strategic Sourcing role with evidence of increases in scope and level of responsibility
