Position Description

What does a great .net Software Developer do?

  • Collaborate within a team environment in the development, testing and support of software

development project life cycles.

  • Deliver world-class applications on time using .Net and SQL technologies.

  • Assess requirements and estimate time and resources to create solutions to build software solutions to satisfy business needs

  • Self-starter with good interpersonal, facilitation, and motivational skills.

  • Ability to logically identify and resolve issues using root cause analysis.

  • Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable code for back-end and UI components.

  • Ability to understand the architecture and suggest changes to meet the client’s requirements

  • Quick learner, eager to demonstrate new technologies in a dynamic team environment

  • Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of programming requirements based on sprint commitments

  • Responsible for deploying software into Unit Test and System Test environments

  • Responsible for preparing for deployment of software into the QA and Production environments

  • Responsible for responding to and resolving any defects found during testing in an efficient and timely manner

  • Participate in a 24 hour on-call rotation to support previous releases of the product

  • Present progress information effectively with peers and Project management

Basic Qualifications for Consideration

Education:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field

Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field

  • 2-3 years of experience in Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5 using C#.

  • Experience in developing unit tests and mocking framework for C#/.NET a plus

  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later. Must be fluent in basic SQL, TSQL and stored procedures.

  • Knowledge of Internet Information Service (IIS) 7 or later.

  • Knowledge of SOA design principles, design patterns, mocking frameworks, and performance testing

Travel Required: na

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Agile Software Development methodology

  • Experience in writing high performance Web Services via WCF, Web API and REST models.
