Fiserv Portfolio Manager in Nenagh, Ireland

Reporting to the PMO Director, the Senior Program Manager will be responsible for managing and reporting on the delivery of an exciting portfolio of state of the art fintech products. The successful candidate will engage with teams of talented data scientists, engineers, architects and product managers to coordinate the development of cutting edge new software features and products.

What you will be doing

  • Review project costs and report on outturn versus plan

  • Provide financial reports on project costs

  • Produce technical project reports in collaboration with technical teams

  • Create complete project schedules including effort estimates and resource requirements

  • Establish project milestones and iterations based on risk and priority

  • Develop and refine PMO processes to ensure efficient project lifecycles that align with modern software development methodologies like Scrum

  • Work with other project managers and coordinate project dependencies across functional teams and technical areas

  • Liaise with 3rd party service providers as appropriate

  • Utilize state of the art tools to support project management

  • Actively monitor project progress, track outstanding issues and risks, follow up on action items, and provide timely project status updates to the leadership team

  • Promote software quality and compliance

  • Other PMO duties as required

The knowledge and skills you should bring to this position

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or a related field

  • Project management qualification desirable

  • Excellent technical report writing skills

  • Good proficiency with analysing large project datasets in Excel

  • Good understanding of business principles and practices including financial operations

  • 5+ years’ overall experience, with a solid foundation in managing large software projects

  • Excellent knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile

  • Proficiency with support tools such as Jira

  • Experience preferably in the financial sector / payment processing systems / e-commerce

  • Experience managing projects that span large cross-functional teams

  • Experience in working within a multinational environment
