About The Team
Join our dynamic engineering team at Clover, where innovation meets collaboration. We're dedicated to creating cutting-edge software that powers modern business solutions and propels the Fintech landscape forward.
What You Will Do:
Spearhead the development of Clover’s comprehensive suite of Point of Sale products, impacting both back-end and front-end domains.
Architect and develop scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems that enhance customer experiences.
Lead technical architecture, design, and implementation efforts across server-side and web-based applications.
Utilize JVM languages and modern front-end technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and HTML to build robust applications.
Coach and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Drive engineering best practices and advocate for a CI/CD DevOps approach and lean agile methodologies.
Effectively triage bugs and prioritize tasks to maintain high-quality standards and operational excellence.
Engage in strategic planning, contributing to Clover’s technical roadmap and software vision.
What You Will Need To Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of professional software development experience.
5+ years of experience in developing high-scale, fault-tolerant distributed systems and leading complex projects.
Extensive expertise in software architecture and cloud systems design.
Strong command over JVM languages (Java, Kotlin, Scala) and front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML).
Experience with Spring Boot, TDD methodologies, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Proficient in RESTful or GraphQL API design and microservices architecture.
What Would Be Great To Have:
Master’s degree in Computer Science.
Professional cloud service provider certifications.
Familiarity with BDD methodologies and a keen interest in functional programming.
Previous experience with POS systems.

Salary Range
$124,300.00 - $213,100.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
