What does a great Product Consultant do?
Leads the analysis and development of software solutions to meet client's requirements, including acting as the primary representative of throughout the project to the internal Fiserv audience.
Configures the Fiserv software based on business requirements.
Participates in the installation of the solution at the client site.
Leads the application and solution specific training at the client site.
Tests solutions end-to-end
Build strong and stable client relationships! Develops trusted partnership relationships, through positive client interaction
Essential Job Responsibilities :
Leads effort with the Project Manager(s) and Project Team to elicit, validate and prioritise business requirements to design a solution to fulfil the client’s business requirements.
Assist in the definition of scope of the project and provide guidance to the Project Manager in determining the efficient project approach including assistance to complete the Project Charter and Project Plan as required
Assists Technical Consultant(s) to elicit, validate and prioritize client technical requirements with regard to operating platform and equipment.
Serves as internal representative for client requirements and solution design.
Presents and negotiates, in conjunction with the Project Manager(s), the design of the proposed solution with client.
Develops detailed requirements specifications for any customized development or scripting work that is required during the course of a project and works with customised development to help define the technical solution and associated technical specifications.
Configures application parameters including accounts, users, rules, reports, processes, and privileges to meet client business requirements.
Validates and tests the solution against business requirements.
Contributes to the resolution of end-to-end testing and implementation specific defects.
Develops and delivers client training.
Identify and progress additional consulting opportunities within the target client
Participates with Professional Services managers for the continual improvement of procedures, processes, and overall infrastructure within the respective Professional Services teams with a focus on improving quality, increasing efficiency, reducing risk, delivering stability, and accommodating scalability
May mentor and guide peers in their respective functions and duties
Assist/lead pre-sales efforts with target clients where specific industry expertise is required to close the software sale
May lead /assist pre-sales efforts including but not limited to data mapping & cleansing, sales presentation of system functionality, delivery of proof-of-concept exercises, assistance in preparation of Request for Proposal responses, Work Breakdown Structures (Project Estimates), scoping engagements, Professional Services presentations, etc.
Perform onsite Client Solution Reviews and document recommendations to ensure client implementations are optimised to enable the client to get best value from the solution.
Interact with Product Management and Development in support of the ongoing evolution of product sets, including representing real world client needs in the development of the product.
Where the following role is not being performed on the project by another individual or as a back-up to that individual, be prepared to back-fill the following other roles on the project:
Perform the Business Consulting role by gathering and documenting business requirements.
Perform the Project Management role by developing project charters, project plans, creating booking letters, attending project status meetings and providing regular project status updates.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration :
Bachelor’s Degree level education or comparable work experience required
5+ years of experience with technology related projects
Familiar with Windows and UNIX environments
Strong knowledge of MS Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Project)
Familiar with Oracle and MSSQL
Knowledge of SQL a plus
Programming or scripting experience a plus
Software testing experience
Project Management experience advantageous
Able to travel up to 40% including travel to client sites and Fiserv offices
Fundamental understanding of reconciliation processes within one of the target industries
Knowledge of Reconciliation products as Corona, Smartstream Reconciliations, Smartstream TLM, Intellimatch
Prior experience as Consultant
Knowledge of Exception Management Solutions
